Recently, a manta ray swam through my dream scene out of nowhere. The space all around me became water. I was in awe at its fluidity and smoothness. Interesting and notable, as I have never really been called to much attention towards the manta ray before now. This speaks to me about something I’m noticing about myself: tendency to overcomplicate anything I naturally love doing and looking at life’s tasks as always an uphill struggle.
This gliding focus with fluid movement feature of the manta ray is how I really am, without all the noise.
“The manta ray, a majestic, gentle giant of the ocean world, symbolizes freedom, grace, and flow. Its ability to navigate the vastness of the sea mirrors our own journey through the depths of the subconscious, signifying emotional depth and self-discovery. The manta ray moves with the currents, symbolizing adaptability, and its graceful, effortless glide represents peace and tranquility.”
“Dreaming about a manta ray often implies the need for self-evaluation and introspection. It suggests diving deep into your emotions to understand your inner strengths and weaknesses. As a symbol of adaptability, a manta ray in dream may signal changes or transitions in your life. The glide of the manta ray suggests the need to move with grace and ease through these changes.” – Symbolopedia
In recent weeks I’ve been uncovering some patterned themes about how my thoughts and feelings are guiding my energy. Sometimes, early in the morning, I wake up and go sit in the hot tub to get a fresh space to start my day, and simply ask what I need to know right now. Immediately a little movie starts playing on the screen of my inner vision. Here’s what came through.

A very strong river current and a tight corner. The person on the raft is covered in all the gear you could possibly need for such a situation. He is shouting directions to the crew and pointing wildly in the direction they need to be going.
In contrast, the scene continues with showing me another part of the river and there is a woman riding a water beast that looks a lot like Falcor from the movie "The Neverending Story". She is smiling at me, having a good time riding this powerful water dragon. They are in synch with each other, a symbiosis between spirit and matter.

Reflecting on the symbols that come through the dream world will bring more light to the emerging energy from the subconscious. This is not a static piece of imagery but is alive in the psyche as a guide, a messenger, the psychopomp.
In Jungian psychology, the psychopomp is a mediator between the unconscious and conscious realms. It is symbolically personified in dreams as a wise man or woman, or sometimes as a helpful beast.[14] – Wikipedia
These messages have the potential to activate deep reservoirs of life force energy that have be sequestered. Energy is what we are, so there is nothing you need to fix about yourself. It’s more about finding where you’ve been hiding.
Often times after a particularly vivid dream, I will go back into the dream and start asking questions.
I do this in two different ways. I may sit quietly with a tuning fork and focus back in on the details, or I will go for a walk and make an audio recording of information I receive when returning to the dream scene.
Amazingly, the dream wakes up as I pay attention to it. The trick is to ask a question and let there be enough space for a response. Let the response play out like a movie, without your mind jumping to conclusions.
Since the images of our dream worlds often represent the stuff were not seeing consciously, it may be an uncomfortable experience to notice what’s trying to come through, so don’t shut it down if you’re having odd or repulsive dreams that wants to show you something about yourself.

This kind of dream work is best done with a journal. Even if you just write out the shorthand format, this is going to help you integrate the shift.
Write down key words and symbols, and their feeling tones that are connected.
Unlocking these messages is energy medicine.
The Manta Ray is guiding me to connect with deep feelings that have been caught out of the flow of my central channel, and that is exactly what has been happening the following days after the dream.
As these intellectualized emotions and stories become viscerally felt in the body, it’s like a floodgate is opened. All the suppressed feelings want to be surrendered to the central channel, and here is where love and compassion for yourself will be the balm that heals, along with a lot of deep breathing as your move your own energy field into core embodiment, feeling what is there to feel.

The best guidance you’ve always provided for yourself is the opportunity to listen to your body and energy field.
Can you hear feedback from reverberating noise of life on Earth while hearing yourself from an energetically grounded, clear and centered position?
Is it hard to hear yourself with all the noise?
Practice turning the dial down on the noise of the world, while turning up the gain on your inner microphone.
