Here’s something that you may not know about me…
I am a magnetic attractor…of plants and cats.

I know I’m not alone! This blog post is for that niche group of plant and cat lovers out there. You know who you are, probably all cuddled up with a book by the fire and a cat in your lap.
The truth is, if you are of the kind who spend time talking to animals and plants, noticing subtle shifts in their mood and health, you need a tuning fork to add to your vitality kit.
I’m telling you; the whole household will be thankful as you settle vibes into a calm and relaxed state.
I have been experimenting with using tuning forks on my pets and plants.
In this article I’ll focus on cats and save the talk on tuning plants and seeds for a later post.
For now, here’s a fun little clip of my seed germinating cabinet and tuning forks to give you an idea of where I’m going with this. Electroculture is a fascinating topic that fits right in with what I do as a biofield tuning practitioner and farmer.
Tuning the Tiger Cat

One of my cats in particular, Tiger, has a special affinity for tuning forks, and she is often the one who is soaking up most of the attention.
I have experimented with a few different cats in the household, and not all of them are interested. The different responses in animals have a lot to do with the relationship bond between a pet and it’s human.
Trust is key, as it eases resistance to receiving the energy adjustment. Any fear between the person using the tuning forks and the animal will be amplified, so it is of primary importance to establish a baseline of trust and respect of each other’s space and body.

Be the dominant tone, which is calm, grounded, and neutral.
Outlined below is the basic technique that I have used with Tiger. This is by no means the rule of how to tune a cat, it’s just simply what I developed on my own with this particular cat.
You will see that I’m not doing a standard biofield tuning session, combing through her timeline from the boundary of her energy field and dropping into the central channel. Rather, the goal here is to simply relax her nervous system, allowing her body, mind and mood to hum nicely in its own rhythm.
Technique

Breathe and Ground
All animals are sensitive to vibes. Before working with tuning forks on your cat, get your own electrical system grounded. Go outside and take a moment to reconnect with nature and your breath, relax into a peaceful and calming presence.
Sometimes the opportunity to do some tuning doesn’t allow for grounding prior to starting. In this case, start with a few deep cleansing breaths and ground yourself where you stand in the present moment.
Keep it simple and short.
The amount of time you spend working on a cat is completely up to them. They may not even be in the mood at all, so don’t take it personal because that’s a cat for you! Adjust your approach to meet them where they are at. Often, just a few minutes is all it takes before they’ve had enough.
These micro sessions are a quick little temperament adjustment to reset the tone of their mood. I find this can be really helpful when your pet experiences any kind of anxiety or stress related to environmental changes or physical ailments.
Occasionally they may want you to lean into a longer session, maybe around 15 minutes. Listen for that que to do so by reading their response. These longer sessions usually end with a very long nap!
Weighted forks

Starting with weighted forks is a great introduction to tuning your cat. The reason being that they are not so audibly abrupt as the unweighted forks.
Cats and dogs have much better hearing then we do, and the audible sounds of tuning forks may not initially be inviting.
First, show them the fork without it vibrating. Start petting them if they are open to it, setting that tone of reassurance and safety. You want to help them associate this new tool with good feelings and affection. Let them feel the weight of the fork by lightly gliding it along their body without the vibration.
You can get a sense of where their biofield boundary is by presenting the vibrating fork in their line of sight starting at a distance of around 3 feet. Let them choose when they are comfortable enough to come closer to explore. Go very slowly and take as much time as necessary.

This is the critical phase of trust building.
On the Body
Weighted forks can be applied to the body directly. Start at a place that is comfortable for your cat. Paws and the top of their head or tail bone may be too sensitive to begin with. I’d try the shoulder to start, as it allows them to turn their head and see it. Gently and slowly work your way into different areas as it seems appropriate. Always watch for their response to notice if an area is in pain or really sensitive to touch. Move around those places and not so much directly on a known injury.
After they get used to it, I have noticed that going behind the ears and on the crown are welcomed. When they are really comfortable with you and the forks, you may even want to try a pair of weighted forks such as the Schumann or Fibonacci pair. The size of their body makes it very accessible to reach the Sun Star and Earth Star at the same time. These are the positive and negative battery terminals above the crown and below the root chakras.

Air Brushing
Cats have a biofield with a positive and negative battery terminal, a central channel and energy centers along the spine just like we do. It is helpful to keep this awareness as you work.
As you are sensing a connection to the edge of their field with the tuning fork, generally 3-4 feet away from the body, you can use the tuning fork like a brush.
Brush from the edge of their biofield beginning at the crown and stroking downwards to the tail. This can be done with weighted forks or the unweighted forks.
Do not cross in and out of this edge, called ‘feathering’, as it can feel rather unpleasant. Remain on the perimeter of their biofield for now.
Every time you strike the fork, hold it at the crown for a moment until you feel a connection. The sensation feels like something grabs on. It may take a few strikes to phase lock.
Gently move in closer till you are hovering the fork around 4″ from their body, continuing with the brushing. Notice the change in vibration and tone of the fork as it becomes clearer and more open.
Sonic Slider
The Sonic Slider is what I started with and continues to be my standby favorite. The frequency of this fork is the 12th Harmonic of the Schumann resonance at 93.96 Hz. and really just sings nicely with a long-sustained vibration. If you get just one fork, let it be the Sonic Slider with the circuit boot attachment. I don’t get paid to say that- it’s just that amazing!

Unweighted Forks
There are of course many frequencies to choose from when it comes to audible sounds of tuning forks and I would imagine that no two cats are the same in their preferences. What I do know for a fact is that my Tiger cat loves the 417 Hz. fork. I’ve experimented enough to know, she’s got a particular resonance with this tone. It sends her straight into the zone. She becomes very vocal and affectionate towards me and the fork. It then causes her to want to eat and then go to sleep. I know that sounds like normal cat behavior, but it truly works like magic to calm her down.

We all know that animals can have emotional stress, even plants get stressed out! What I’m noticing as I’ve been using the tuning forks on my cat is that she has clearly associated them with positive feedback. It’s obvious to me that she knows what they are and how they make her feel good. She asks me to tune her by jumping on my massage table and rubbing her face all over the forks.
There’s only one way to know what will work with your cat, and that is to be curious and do your own experiments.

Once you get your cat to this point of comfort with tuning forks, their biofield is open for deeper types of sessions. That’s where I’ll be going next with the lovely Tiger cat.
